MSN has put out a neat little reality show online. Its about ordinary people being coached financially by real word financial people. Very interesting. I have been following Ed Butowsky for some time, and I like his style. Down to earth and tells it like it is – refreshing.
A wealth manager for professional athletes, celebrities and high-net-worth individuals, Ed Butowsky has a resume as big as his charismatic personality. He oversees his own firm, appears everywhere from NBC to Fox News, and has an impressive YouTube following. Ed’s passion is helping clients manage their wealth — and making sure they have fun in the process.

Is truly amaizing that with all the money going to professional athletes 2 years into retirement their broke. Not just any kind of broke, The kind that one minute you have many millions of dollars and the next you got NOTHING!
Athlete bankruptcy
Here is a great SI article with some specifics about the issue of athlete bankruptcy.
What the hell happened here? Seven floors above the iced-over Dallas North
Tollway, Raghib (Rocket) Ismail is revisiting the question. It’s December,
and Ismail is sitting in the boardroom of Chapwood Investments, a wealth
management firm, his white Notre Dame snow hat pulled down to his furrowed
brow.
Before Ismail can elaborate on his bewilderment—over the complexity of
that statement and the amount of money he had already lost—eight heads are
nodding, eight faces smiling in sympathy. Hunter chimes in, “Once you get
into the financial stuff, and it sounds like Japanese, guys are just like,
‘I ain’t going back.’ They’re lost.”
